The legal internship had an immense influence on Lewis`s education. As head of defensive litigation and legal expense management, Lewis leads two separate teams within the investment firm. She highlights the role mentorship has played in her career and how it has inspired her to pass on this spirit of advocacy and access to the next generation of students. Trigilio also enjoys networking within the company and encourages his team to do the same. Trigilio`s career in snake seeds and skins began surprisingly in hospitals and ambulances. When he received his bachelor`s degree from the College of the Holy Cross, he was a student of pre-medical psychology. He worked as an emergency physician for two years during his studies – until he had an achievement during a spiritual retreat. “Just seeing a day in a crawl space and a huge snakeskin on the floor was enough for me to know that I never wanted to be an exterminator,” he laughs. “I would also have liked to wear more appropriate shoes that day.” In 2017, Vanguard joined the 30% Club, a global organization that advocates for greater representation of women on boards and in leadership positions.
