Another way to gain experience: Join Davenport Estate Planning Services (DEPS), which offers free estate planning for underserved populations. Davenport University`s Bachelor of Laws degree can put you on the path to law school, help you develop the skills you need for a paralegal program, or prepare you to work in a law firm, government agency, or other law-related environment. Non-lawyers choose from over 6 areas of interest, including business law and taxation, health law and public interest law, and receive general and targeted legal training that enhances their understanding of legal issues in their respective fields as well as their professional opportunities. Graduates from the United States and third countries Law schools choose from master`s programs in health law, intellectual property law, international law, and taxation. Graduates from countries other than the United States Law schools may also choose the LLM in U.S. Law Studies to gain a practical understanding of the U.S. legal system. Many graduates of the Diploma in Social Law pursue a legal career or postgraduate studies. However, the topics covered in the major are relevant to many areas that focus on the application of law, including social work, education, economics, and international relations. With approximately 450 internships per year, Denver Law`s legal clerkship program effectively bridges the gap between classroom learning and the application of legal skills in the workplace.
Our Ll.M. programs encourage students to participate in an external experience and allow external credit to count towards the overall degree requirement. The Faculty of Law of the UD is the proven legal institution par excellence. It is the national hub of legal studies. Since its inception in 1924, the department has been a leader, producing numerous legal luminaries, Supreme Court and Supreme Court judges, leading lawyers, political leaders, policymakers, and pioneers in all areas of life. The department is staffed with elite alumni, although it is an egalitarian institute that offers virtually free legal training at negligible cost. With the unparalleled expertise of faculty members, the multicultural environment and its headquarters in the heart of the nation`s capital, the department attracts brilliant students from across the country and abroad. The department currently has more than 130 faculty and about 7,000 students, including LL.B., LL.M. and Ph.D. students, but operates with limited resources.
It is fully funded by the Treasury through the UGC and the Ministry of Defense of Human Resources. The current admission for LLB students is 2400 students after the OBC extension. The three centers of the Faculty of Law admitted 1500 students to the LLB program before 1975. The ministry is constantly improving its infrastructure with state-of-the-art facilities. Our Bachelor of Social Law Studies asks key questions such as: How does the law affect our daily lives? How do social institutions shape the law? And how does the law empower and force us? We offer a three-year Bachelor of Laws program. As the number of students grew, the department established its first center as the Center of Law – I in 1970 and the second as the Center of Law – II in 1971. The Faculty of Law`s one-day ll.B courses were transferred to the new Campus Law Centre in 1975. The ll.M. and Ph.D. programs are directly supervised by the Dean. We follow the case method of legal education; The ministry does not depend on new editions of the publishers` books as case material of LL.B. and LL.M. are reviewed with dedication by faculty members each semester. Printed copies are distributed to all students without profit. In addition, we have a rich print library with electronic resources.
Faculty members are attracted by diverse knowledge and experience. Professors from other universities, including foreign universities, participate in various scholarship programs and conduct research at this institution. A number of delegations from foreign universities visit the department to share their knowledge and help students. Some Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) have been signed between the department and the corresponding departments of foreign universities. Legal education must be socially relevant and technically advanced, focusing on lucrative new branches such as intellectual property rights, insurance, negotiations, information technology and laws related to wealth creation, finance, including taxes, which must be the touchstone of the future. The faculties of the department have been pioneers in the development of new areas of law such as intellectual property, environmental law, human rights education, gender sensitivity; Increase the number of women and fight poverty for the whole country. Faculties have successfully helped influence life in the fight against dowry deaths through legislative interventions, supported the responsibility of the media in the establishment of prasar Bharati Corporation, promoted secularism, established the rule of law for the benefit of women and children, and fought against feudalism and oligarchies. It is desirable to rise up against female feticide. The senior faculty members have a long tradition of contributing renowned books and literature in their areas of expertise, increasing the stature of the Delhi Faculty of Law as a great academic leader that contributes to the dissemination of legal knowledge throughout the country by training trainers. We believe that learning doesn`t stop in the classroom; Windows should be kept wide open to invite different perspectives and expertise from different sources and practitioners.
National and international seminars, conferences and workshops are regularly organized at the departmental level and in three centres to exchange and advise on legal issues and new ideas. Moot court competitions, debates, group discussions, client counselling competitions are regular features in the ministry`s three centres.
