The Legal Services Division is the government law firm that provides a wide range of legal advice and services to support government operations and help the government achieve its operational priorities. With a staff of more than 160 lawyers, paralegals, researchers and administrative professionals, the ministry is one of the largest law firms in the province. Under the general supervision of the Legal Services Coordinator, CO-OP students are responsible for providing effective and efficient legal support to lawyers in the Legal Services Division. Tasks include administrative tasks, preparation of legal documents and correspondence, conducting searches, recording and processing documentation, complying with policies and processes, and maintaining filing systems. As a co-op student with us, you will work as part of a close-knit team and gain insight into how a state law firm works. The offer of employment depends on the completion of all applicable background checks and confirmation of qualifications, the results of which must be satisfactory to the employer.
